Agrobank Opens Its 188th Branch in Semenyih
SEMENYIH, SELANGOR Agrobank today opens its 188th branch in Semenyih to serve the local agriculture community. The opening ceremony was officiated by YBhg Tan Sri Faizah Mohd Tahir, Chairman of Agrobank and attended by more than 100 guests and clients.
Agrobank Semenyih is seen as one of the suitable locations to cater and reach out to the community in Semenyih due to its strong growth in agricultural activities which consists of palm oil plantation, rubber plantation and fruit crops.
According to YBhg Tan Sri Faizah Mohd Tahir, The opening of Agrobank Semenyih branch will create an easy banking and financing services for the Semenyih folks and we hope that the community here will get the full advantage of our products and services.
At the launching ceremony, YBhg Tan Sri Faizah Mohd Tahir presented Letter of Offers (LO) to Agrobank customers, Encik Azhar bin Abdul Razak for Pembiayaan 3F and Mr. Sanmuga A/L Thangarajam for Hartani-i with total amount of financing of RM341,000.00. She also presented certificates of appointment to two new AGROAgents; Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Sepang and Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Batu Laut.
Agrobank also aims to recruit 366 AGROAgents nationwide in 2015 to provide basic banking services in rural areas through these certified agents. With the appointment of AGROAgents located at rural areas, customers will no longer have to travel a long distance journey to the nearest town to make withdrawals and deposits as AGROAgent is strategically located near their neighborhoods.
