Agrobank Will Organise 50th Anniversary Run: Fun-Tastic Run at Paddy Field
KUALA LUMPUR – Agrobank will organise a 5km ‘Agrobank 50th Anniversary Fun Run’ on 27 July 2019 at MADA Pengkalan Kundor, Alor Setar in conjunction with the 50th year of the establishment of Agrobank.
According to Khadijah Iskandar, Agrobank’s President / Chief Executive Officer, Kedah is a special state for Agrobank. Agrobank was established in 1969 to finance irrigation projects to accommodate double cropping for paddy planting in Kedah and Perlis, known as MADA.
“The Fun Run across the paddy fields symbolises the establishment of Agrobank or formerly known as Bank Pertanian Malaysia. In addition, we also collaborated with MADA, as the Bank’s strategic partner since the first day of Agrobank establishment. This Run is our way of showing appreciation to our stakeholder who has supported Agrobank throughout the Bank’s 50-year journey. In addition, this run is also unique as it is going to be held across the paddy fields.”
“The run already received registration of 1,000 participants from all over the country. So far, we received good response from the runners. We also happy to receive good support from our strategic partners and customers towards the Bank and this fun run also can foster a healthy lifestyle for participants,” added Khadijah.
